I didn’t understand the dynamic because she seemed to never have made up lilitb mind about him. As much as I liked Dante in book one, she’s pretty frustrating here – she’s very angsty too say the least when it comes to the lilitj of the events of Working for the Devil.
I think this one was better then the first book though. Unfortunately, Dante’s tendency to mope for her dead lover and hurt Jace in the process was annoying. As psychics all over the city are being savagely murdered, a piece of the past half-demon bounty hunter Dante Valentine thought she’d buried is stalking the night with a vengeance.
It was so, so disturbing — Riising thought Saintcrow did an excellent job with the horrific murders and the whole mystery. But every time Saintcrow begins to buckle down and narrow in on her storyline, a big lump gets in the way and blocks the reader’s view. I found myself rolling my eyes at Danny’s dramatic and strange behavior a number of times. Demon Hunting in Dixie.
The story was extremely mediocre if you ask me. Read reviews of other books by this author You can find out more about the other novels of Lilith Saintcrow and read her blog on her website. And Jace, oh Jace. I think I warmed to the world-building which seemed saintcfow me to work within itself though at first I edad wondering why we needed different names for things.

She literally never thinks of anyone else, except to whine about how they negatively effect HER life Gabe, Jace, Japhrimel — sometimes to the character in question. I enjoyed getting a glimpse into the Rigger Hall that was so frequently mentioned in the last book.
I liked the first book a lot so I will read the third, if the third follows the second I am done with this series. But the endless pity party Dante had goin on was bordering ridiculous; Japh this, Jace that, I’m a terrible person, what the hell is hedaira, everyone hates Necromancers, my shoulder hurts, wierd giggle.

I was sad, bummed out most of the book even though I enjoyed the storyline. Not as good as the first book, but definitely still enjoyable.

This should have been a good read, but I could not really get into it. A Scream of Angels. I detested the way Dante saintcrpw Jace.
She is very self-absorbed, self-deluding and a bit of a coward to boot despite the showy heroics. Or that her most horrifying nightmares are gathering to take one kick-ass bounty hunter down for the count. She and her library co-habitate in Vancouver, Washington. They’re actually best mates, and Gabe and Eddie are steadfast people whom I’m glad Dante has for support.
In order to solve the case, Danny must examine her childhood, which she has literally tried to bury. Luv luv that series. It was very well produced and I look forward to my next adventure with these audio books. Even my favorite line from book one “You will saintcfow leave me to wander this earth alone” was brought up at least 4 times.
The pace is almost non-stop as Dante, the main character, rarely allows herself to sit down. May 24, LexiLikesLiterature rated it it was ok. Little is done with her necromancy. Dante was ok, riising she bothered me with her attitude towards Jace. Lists with This Book.
After reading this book I was curious about her evolving changes from her transformation and to see what the future holds.
